This is a precise, well stated, piece of information about our culture, that I hope gets a lot of viewers. Good find, great to post it, thanks for sharing.

That is a great video and even though I am pretty aware of all the points it brings up, it still made me stop and think about(and question) my own habits. It really is a shame that our culture has become so "stuff"-centric.

We should all do out part. I guess your list will include...

- canceling your travels to Pisgah this weekend to help reduce our dependency on oil (and all the nasty byproducts of its production).

- stop mail ordering bike parts to reduce the additional link in the supply chain.

Seriously Brian, we all need to do our part. :-)

Matt,

I think every day about my contribution to the yellow arrow. Where do I draw the line for my own consumerism? Do I go live in the wilderness and try to create my own self sufficient ecosystem? Is that fair to my wife and child? Is my career as an architect a bigger cog in the wheel of destruction than another person? Most of questions run through my head are allot tougher than a tank of gas to Ashville or a bike part from California. I guess I hope that others question the same aspects of their own lives. If people are at least conscious of what their choices in life mean to the greater good we at least one step ahead of where we have been.

Easy there! The smiley face at the end was supposed to convey the tounge-in-cheek nature of my comments.

Good video. I passed it on.

well articulated; brings back to center. I can be wasteful, thanks for the reminder.
